IDEALE SECOND CASA CASA
London
Its origins probably date back to the Roman period: it is believed that the town of Maslana, which was the oldest nucleus, devoured by a fire in the late seventies, would have been used as a resting place for slaves employed by the Romans for exploitation of the iron deposits in the area. Mining activity was the main source of income for the inhabitants even in the following centuries. The toponym clearly reflects the location of the village in the valley crossed by the Bondione torrent, whose name could derive from the Lombard word "bonda", meaning "conca". Its history, which lacks events of particular importance, followed that of the surrounding territories, subjected to Venetian domination until the end of the eighteenth century and then passed under the Austrian one. Among the historical and architectural evidences include: the seventeenth-century parish church of Biondone, with valuable paintings; the church of Lizzola, also from the 17th century, and the parish church of Fiumenero, from the 18th century, with the nearby church of San Rocco.
