Termini: an idyllic village surrounded by greenery, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view.
Termini it is a belvedere on the island of Capri and a starting point for impressive excursions to the Promontorium Minervae.
The town of Termini, facing the island of Capri, on the gulf of Salerno and on a hill at the foot of Monte San Costanzo (300 meters above sea level), boasts an enviable position with splendid views.
The name “Termini” (from the Latin word terminus = end / border) could originate from its position, as this is the last village of in front of the locality “Punta Campanella”
To the south of Termini rises Mount San Costanzo, on whose eastern peak there is the chapel of the patron saint. The southern ridge, which acts as a watershed between the Gulf of Naples and Salerno, descends to Punta Campanella, from which Capri is only 5 kilometers away. Punta Campanella is connected to Termini by the old road "via Minerva".
This road crosses two notable places: the first is Fossa di Papa, where once there was an ancient Greek necropolis; the second is called Mitigliano. In this place there was an ancient abbey in ancient times; on the other hand, today there is only the venerable little church of “Santa Maria”.
