This restored country house with vineyard and olive grove is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico, close to the famous town of Greve, in panoramic position.
The foundation of the building dates back to the year 1200 and has a living surface of about 410 sqm and revolves around a characteristic paved courtyard with a loggia, and features several separate entrances from various places of the garden. From a side door one enters to the large and luminous living room on the ground floors, a cozy sitting room with a fireplace and a library, a dining room which is connected to the kitchen by a hallway with the staircase to the upper floor. From the kitchen one can exit to the loggia, next to the kitchen is the laundry room while a staircase descends underground into the old cellar, featuring a stunning vaulted stone ceiling. The upper floor can be accessed either from outside, via a stone staircase from the courtyard, or via the internal staircase between the kitchen and the dining room. The sleeping area includes a spacious master bedroom with private bathroom and walk-in wardrobe, and four more bedrooms. Two of these share a bathroom with doors from both bedrooms; the other two are served by a bathroom in the corridor.
Just a few steps from the country house are the remains of an old barn that could be rebuilt into a guesthouse or a wine cellar.
The property is surrounded by 17 ha of land with a 2.500 sqm garden with trees and flowers and the rounded pool (average size of 15 × 5 m) with a paved sunbathing area overlooking the vineyards and the surrounding Chianti hills. The vineyard (2.6 ha) is entirely registered as Chianti Classico DOCG but need to be replaced partially. Yearly production would range, with currently planted vines, around 13,000 bottles of wine. The olive grove (1.3 ha) features approximately 330 trees and allows producing excellent Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil. The remaining land is mixed woodland and arable land.
