Modern Villa in Chianti.
house in Tuscany. Chianti.
The half-wooded ground is sloping and the long, rectilinear construction cuts the hillside transversely so that each of its ywo floors rests om the ground at one end, while the other end is litted off the ground, thus entering, as it were, into a direct visual an spatial contact with the hills beyond the valley, in the distance. The approach to the house is from the higher ground. The garage, from the entrance, kitchen and dining room are therefore on the upper floor, while the drawing room and the bedrooms are on the floor below. All the rooms are shielded on the east side and open to the south and to the west so as to afford the best views over the surrounding countryside. The drawing room on the lower floot is completely trasparent but protected on two sides- est and north- by two courtyards, which relate the two storeys of the house. The construction is in unfaced white cement both outside and in, and is designed on a modul of 95 cm. Windows and doors frames are in black anodized aluminium . the cupboards and bookshelves are in white plastic laminate, and where they also form a dividing partition with the outside they are clad in black glasal.
