A stone's throw from Piazza Vecchia, in a quiet and private position in Bergamo Alta, inside a historic building expertly renovated and equipped with the most innovative contemporary comforts, we offer for sale a delightful 58 m2 two-room apartment located on the first floor and served by 'elevator.
From a careful recovery, restoration and valorization of two historic buildings in Bergamo Alta, a prestigious residential project was born, equipped with all contemporary, technological and energy comforts such as underfloor heating and cooling, home automation, vmc, alarm predisposition and made with innovative and sustainable raw materials. While keeping all the pre-existing valuable architectural elements intact, the complex is in the process of acquiring LEED certification for their limited environmental impact, a peculiarity for an ancient building, one of the few cases at an international level on a historic and listed property. The project involved two buildings subject to monumental restrictions, connected to each other, but different in history, structure and the interventions they have undergone over the years, located in the ancient but secluded heart of Bergamo Alta, on the corner between via Arena and via Mayr, behind Piazza Vecchia. The architectural project has optimized the internal distribution of the housing units, now enhanced. 9 bright apartments are now still available with sizes ranging from 56 up to 382 m2. all equipped with garages and lifts. Where possible, existing valuable material and architectural elements have been recovered, through consolidation and restoration, but also by proposing new solutions, respecting the historical stylistic language of the building. The result was an elaborate and painstaking study of the materials already present - stone, iron and wood - which were reused in a contemporary key as finishes. The same attention was paid to the typological elements of the architecture: frames, intrados, architraves, parapets, handrails, windows and doors. The intervention guaranteed the protection not only of the existing elements clearly visible in their preciousness, but also of the archaeological finds underground, as well as the restoration of the decorative system of the facade which made it possible to redevelop a 'piece of history' of via Arena (source Interni Magazine).
