The "Palazzo Barillaro di Scinà" is located in a beautiful landscaped area with heavy traffic very close to one of the best museums and the state road 682 which connects the Tyrrhenian coast with the Ionian coast.
Historically the building was a water mill ( with internal wooden wheel) used not only as the owner's residence, but also as a production structure: silkworm breeding, milling, cereal milling, must pressing, various types of food processing of the products grown by the farmers and carcara where the stones to obtain the lime necessary for the buildings of the time made of ordinary masonry.
