which was the residence of noble Florentine families, including the Rucellai family and later the Medici family.

The current architecture of the palace, which appears to be the tallest in the area, is the result of last restoration wanted by the Marquis Giuseppe Stiozzi Ridolfi.
The garden in front of the palace and the palace itself are mentioned by various writers and poets including Gabriele D'Annunzio who talks about it in his work “L'Alcyone”.
