Zoagli is a small village nestled between the coastal municipalities of Rapallo and Chiavari in the Gulf of Tigullio. It is located approximately 38 km east of Genoa. The municipality is made up, in addition to the capital, of the three hamlets of Sant'Ambrogio, San Pietro di Rovereto and Semorile for a total of 7.6 km2. Also included are the localities of Arenella, Boschetto, Scoglio, Canevelli, Forno, Parazzuolo, Piano, Castello, Monteprato, Solari, Castellaro, Sant'Orsola, Scogliera, Piscia, Belvedere, Sem Benelli, Cerisola, Oliveto, Sexi, Monte Anchetta, San Pantaleo, Mexi, San Bernardo, Vallette, Pozzetto, Marina di Bardi.
It borders to the north with the municipalities of Rapallo, Coreglia Ligure and San Colombano Certenoli, to the south it is bathed by the Ligurian Sea, to the west with Rapallo and to the east with San Colombano Certenoli, Leivi and Chiavari.
Known and appreciated seaside resort, it is famous for its pedestrian cliff overlooking the sea built in the 1930s with the economic contribution of the inhabitants; in the Zoagliese area there are also several natural woodland routes, the characteristic Ligurian crêuze, and mule tracks that allow you to reach the hamlets and locations of the municipality from the city center. One of the routes, which follows the ancient Roman road, is called "of the five bell towers " since it connects the ancient fractional churches of San Pietro di Rovereto, Semorile, San Pantaleo, Sant'Ambrogio to the central one of San Martino for a total of approximately twelve kilometres. A further forest path allows the connection between the hamlet of Semorile and the sanctuary of Nostra Signora di Montallegro - in the municipal area of Rapallo - along the stream of the same name and after crossing the Anchetta pass and Mount Castello.
