This historic hamlet rises in a setting of rolling hills planted with vineyards and olive groves, in an area rich in history and culture, with important artistic testimonies. The history of this "Borgo" has been documented since 1586 and at that time this splendid property was part of the Benedictine monastery of Vallombrosa. Later on, the property was handed over to the da Verrazzano family of military nobles and this noble family in 1711 donated the property to the religious order of San Francesco di Sales.
