Today we let you take a dip into the past, introducing you to a semi-detached stone house which was built in 1676 as an oratory in Santa Maria, 4 km from Calice al Cornoviglio.
It is a characteristic stone house with a free independent entrance on three sides, with a wonderful view over the valley and over the village of Calice.
The house was completely restored in 2017 by its owner Franco, who was able to keep the details of the time (such as the stones, the exposed beams and the ancient objects found during the renovation), making this residence unique and magical.
It was built in 1676 by an association of faithful who used it as an oratory, as well as a refuge for the poor, for orphans and as a over the years it became a real home and today it is a beautiful holiday home.
Entering the first floor we are greeted by an open living area, with the kitchenette overlooking the living room; on the left we find two bedrooms (one double and one single) and on the right the bathroom with shower.
On the floor below is the most characteristic part of the house, the one made of stone and exposed beams, made up of: a boiler room/cellar, two rooms to use as you see fit (they can be bedrooms or dining rooms for dinners with your friends) and a 20 m2 TERRACE with a very open view.
The terrace gets the sun until late in the evening and is large enough both for having lunch and for relaxing in the fresh air.
In total, the house measures 123 m2 and, as you can see from the photos, it has been totally renovated, so you can live in it immediately without any work to do.
The house is currently it is working as a holiday home, with a very good response on Air B&B, especially from foreign tourists; if you buy it, you can decide whether or not to continue this activity, depending on your needs.
