Located in the municipality of Urbino "La Marcella" adjacent to the Valle del Foglia, cradle of the Italian Renaissance, overlooking, from the bedroom window, the Tavoleto Castle created by Francesco di Giorgio Martini, designer of the Ducal Palace of Urbino where it is possible to admire the helical ramp, territory owned by the Montefeltro family as well as the homeland of Raffaello Sanzio, the residence "Il Poggio dei Prugnoli" was already included in the maps of the ITALIAN PONTIC LAND REGISTER.
Charming, enchanting and welcoming, deliberately used as a B&B to share the pleasure of staying there and offer others the appropriate condition to regenerate mind and senses, today Poggio dei Prugnoli is the fruit of a wise and passionate as well as ambitious private initiative based on love for the place and economic resources, originating from a rural building.
The faithful reconstruction was carried out with a fundamental seismic adaptation with thermal seismic block load-bearing walls referring to the most recent regulations on the subject. All the walls were insulated and internally covered in cork while externally they were repositioned with state-of-the-art laying of stones and original bricks.
The system was designed, built and sized to meet the energy needs of Poggio dei Prugnoli and the future swimming pool that the new owner will want to build, with solar technology and energy - solar panels - and geothermal heat pump; the internal heating with radiant floor panels made with the ancient tiles of the time, and the summer air conditioning present. The building is equipped with a photovoltaic system with the possibility of integrating a storage system and energy column. The ventilated wooden roof gives comfort and pleasure to the eye, finished with period tiles and beams as well as the wooden and style as well as the internal brick stairs.
An elevator shaft serving all floors was provided during construction.
