A few hundred meters away from the property, in the village of Pomaia, along the Via Poggiberna which descends from the town towards the valley floor of the Fine river, there is the Lama Tsongkhapa Institute, an international center for the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism. Founded at the end of the 70s, the Institute is based in an ancient stone manor house, surrounded by olive groves, rows of trees and forest strips. The Center consecrated in 1982 by the visit of the HH Dalai Lama, hosts a community of monks and lay people and is a school of higher studies on Buddhism. The Institute offers courses in philosophy, psychology and meditation in which the teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni are transmitted.
