We are pleased to present, exclusively, the sale of Palazzo Tiso, a prestigious historic building, whose embryonic state at an architectural level can in all likelihood be dated, based on historical sources , at the beginning of 1600.
The original nucleus of the building, located on Via degli Antoglietta in Lecce, was purchased in 1699 by Domenico Tiso, father of the future painter. The first nucleus of houses was the one in correspondence with the garage of the Palazzo di Saverio Bozzi Corso, i.e. the right end of the current Palazzo Tiso, in correspondence with the door, which coincides with the oldest part of the building.
From the Land Registry of Lecce (mid-eighteenth century) we know that the building inhabited by the Tisos was on two levels and on the lower level there were garages. The most important member of the Tiso family was Oronzo who became the most gifted and important painter of the 18th century in Salento. In 1780, he purchased all the houses that bordered his father's assets up to the current Corte dei Chiaromonte and, having set up the new entrance with a now neoclassical flavor in line with the current Via Oronzo Tiso, he had a large two-storey residence built with a series of six openings on the first floor plus others that overlooked the courtyard. In the corner he wanted a pillar surmounted by the family coat of arms which is one of the largest and most beautiful still preserved in Lecce. The Palace still presents itself today as one of the most formally completed eighteenth-century palaces in Lecce and its original configuration has remained almost unchanged to this day.

Palazzo Tiso - ground floor, first floor, panoramic terrace and wonderful roof garden - has been completely renovated.
An elegant entrance hall provides access to the ground floor, of approximately 400 m2. The first floor, of approximately 700 m2, has a characteristic iron/glass structure. A wonderful hanging garden, of approximately 260 m2, offers a unique and evocative view over the entire historic centre. The property includes a large terrace of approximately 450 m2.
