CASTANO P. B21 PRETTY TWO-ROOM APARTMENT IN A SMALL COURTYARD WITHOUT EXPENSES in the center in the heart of the municipality of Castano First lovely renovated two-room apartment on the ground floor comprising: entrance into the living area with kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom as well as parking space inside the courtyard without fee!!
Large municipality in the extreme north-west of the metropolitan city on the border with the provinces of Varese and Novara, crossed by the Villoresi canal, adjacent to the Ticino river. Castano has had a constant growth trend and from the observation of the historical series of demographic movement, the more than "mature" structure of the community is evident with a constant prevalence of deaths compared to births. Migration flows have often covered the aforementioned losses and supported development, even if in the last four years, due to the increase in cancellations compared to registrations, the total balance is negative. We note the old age index which, although standing at 168.4, is among the least "mature" in the Alto Milanese area.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Ponte di Castano and Casa delle Barche
These are places located in the extreme offshoot of the Castano area in the Ticino valley, about 4 km from the centre. At Ponte di Castano, where the Naviglio Grande is crossed by an eighteenth-century stone bridge, hydraulic mills, very important for the local economy, were active in past centuries. Continuing up to the Ticino river you find the Casa delle Barche, a landing point for boats in front of the Piedmontese shore.
Madonna di Gré
Marian sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna della Neve, it is located in the woods north of the town, a short distance away from the Arno torrent. It preserves a wooden statue of the Virgin and maintains the sober sixteenth-century architectural lines unchanged.
The "Ticino Park" extends, along the river of the same name, over two regions: Piedmont and Lombardy and - administratively - is made up of two entities: the Piedmont Natural Park of the Ticino Valley and the Lombardy Park of the Ticino Valley.
The Piedmontese Park has a limited extension and concerns only the river belt without including the urbanized areas, therefore enhancing only the natural elements.
The Lombardy Park, which is winds from Lake Maggiore to the Po, and includes the entire territory of forty-seven municipalities.
A choice to extend competence in terms of protection and valorisation not only of the environment, but also of the historical, archaeological, architectural and agricultural aspects present on the territory, with a conservation work that also has the objective of not slowing down compatible activities.
Giornale della Lombardia 1972, collection of signatures for the establishment of the Park
The Ticino Park is the first Italian regional park, also created thanks to the popular initiative launched by a magazine, the Giornale della Lombardia, over thirty years ago and has set the tone for the establishment of hundreds of other Italian protected areas.--1e8b05da42d2bd6fefc81270709ef9b0!
