Lesa (also in Piedmontese and Lombardy) is a municipality of 2,402 inhabitants in the province of Novara. It is the northernmost of the municipalities in the province that are located on the shore of Lake Maggiore. Alessandro Manzoni loved to stay in Lesa in the villa of his second wife Teresa Borri, widow Stampa. During these stays he frequented the blessed and philosopher Antonio Rosmini who lived in Stresa.
