San Biagio della Valle is a fraction of the municipality of Marsciano. The town is located north of the capital (262 m above sea level), at the bottom of a small valley crossed by the Caina stream, along the provincial road 314 which leads to Spina. Third most populous district of the municipality with 608 residents. The presence of an ancient castle is now evidenced only by a circular tower and the bell tower of the old Romanesque style church, demolished in 1952. The castle was already known in 1371 when, due to the factional struggles between the new emerging merchant and artisan class (Raspanti) and Nobili (Beccherini), the Raspanti found refuge there. In 1416 it was conquered by Braccio Fortebraccio and in 1428 it passed under the jurisdiction of Porta Eburnea. The ancient Romanesque church was administered by the Benedictine abbey of Farfa (Rieti), subsequently passed to the Benedictines of San Pietro of Perugia. Testifying to its dependence on the Benedictine monastery is the Romanesque portal of the church which can still be admired set in the cloister of the monastery.

The town is well connected, easily reachable from the SP344 Via Settevalli, from the SP340 which connects the SS317 (VIa Marscianese) to the SR220 and SP315 (Strada Pievaiola) and Strada Bagnaia-Pilonico Materno to the SR220.
