Dormelletto Gallic necropolis near the town hall. About fifty tombs have been excavated since 1987, the oldest of which date back to the period between the end of the 3rd and the beginning of the 1st century BC There have also been found numerous artifacts such as bronze anklets and bracelets, iron fibulae, ceramic vases, farmer's sickles, a few spearheads and the remains of a shield. In 2006, following some excavations for the reconstruction of the elementary school, dozens of new tombs were found, suggesting the presence of a huge funerary complex. Along the Piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore, between Arona and Castelletto Ticino, for an approximate length of four kilometers and an area of approximately 157 hectares, the special nature reserve of the Dormelletto reedbeds extends which, together with the Fondo Toce special nature reserve, represents the unique example of bank vegetation dominated by fragmiteto (commonly known as marsh reed) on the western shore of the lake. The reserve, which is an important place of study of the local avifauna, houses inside Villa Tesio, site of a thoroughbred horse breeding a valuable agricultural complex seat of the last breeding of English Thoroughbred of the "Dormello-Olgiata" breed to which famous horses such as Nearco, Bellini, Donatello II and the famous Ribot belonged to it.
