I propose for sale this Historic House in the Center of Vernante
Before telling you about this house, I want to talk to you about the village of Vernante known for its proximity to Limone Piemonte but also for the fairy tale told through the various murals scattered around the village.
The History of Vernante
20 kilometers from Cuneo, nestled between the mountains and uncontaminated nature of Piedmont, there is a small village of just 1,200 inhabitants which has become famous because the famous story of Collodi with Pinocchio as the protagonist is relived every day on the walls of its houses and in its streets.
Vernante, this is the name of the Piedmontese village, has in fact become famous for the many murals depicting the famous puppet-child.
Attilio Mussino, the most famous illustrator of Collodi's character nicknamed "Pinocchio's uncle" for this, spent the last years of his life in Vernante, from 1944 to 1954.
To pay homage to the famous illustrator, in July 1954, the two Vernan natives Bartolomeo Cavallera and Bruno Carletto decided to revive the scenes of the children's novel on the walls of the town.
Over the years, murals have multiplied in the small town of Vernante and today there are more than one hundred and fifty illustrations peeping out from the walls, doors and windows.
In addition to the murals, there are numerous silhouettes and statues found in the gardens and on the staircases.
The Blue Fairy, Geppetto, the Cat and the Fox and the other characters accompany tourists and curious people, making them retrace all the adventures of the wooden puppet.
If you are looking for a place for a family trip, this fairytale village could be for you: the little ones can have fun reconstructing the story of Pinocchio in a fun way and the adults can take a step back in time remembering their childhood.
