Maso Steger, Verano

The closed farmhouse from the 1600s consists of the large house (formerly a farmhouse), a small house, the old mill, the storage room, the stable, the barn and approximately 41 hectares of agricultural land. These hectares are divided as follows: 14% orchards, 12% meadows, 7% pasture and 67% forest. In total, there are just under 10 hectares of cultivated areas, of which approximately 6 hectares are planted, and another 4 hectares still to be planted. Over 4 hectares are already equipped with a hail protection system. The agricultural areas, equal to approximately 41.5 hectares, are mainly located in the immediate vicinity of the company. The last renovation of the main building dates back to 1977. The two-story house, built in 1980, is in good condition. In recent years, innovative investments have been made to increase the value of the company, for an amount of approximately 3 million euros. Major investments include the construction of a large reservoir (4,500 m3), with a modern sprinkler irrigation system, a filter station and an automation system. Investments have been made in variety of clubs, anti-hail nets, wood chip plant, new garages, an underground water tank, a water collection stream, renovation of the barn, roof and workshop, renovation of the pit for the sewage, installation of equipment for the workshop and vehicle fleet. The sprinkler irrigation system with drip sprinklers delivers 80% of all crop protection treatments at the push of a button.
