Among the perpendicular and parallel streets that characterize the urban layout of the Castello district, we find the independent access door of our apartment right behind the Arsenale, which is five minutes from the vaporetto stop of the same name. Upon arriving we realize how time seems to take us back to the native Venice, of which the property was part of the complex known as "degli arsenalotti", populated by the workers of the arsenal. We enter through the main door and go up the independent stairs that take us to the first floor. Here the intersection allows us to choose whether to turn right or left. We turn left to go to the living area. The light arrives direct and warm, illuminating the soft colors of the floor which make it stand out. A first door opens on the right: the bright bathroom with windows is located right above a garden, not belonging to it, but no less pleasant to the eye. We proceed further, and find that same view in the granite marble kitchen, airy and light, complete with microwave, oven, refrigerator, washing machine and washer dryer. The typical wooden furniture recalls the stairs we climbed to get to the floor. We return to the pre-entrance and turn right, where the comfortable living room opens up in length with bookcase, television and sofa - which becomes a single bed. From here a door leads us into the large double bedroom, whose wooden elements play with the lighting system, highlighting the waves of the furniture. The Castello district, the largest and among the oldest in Venice, is located at the eastern end of the city. One of the most populous neighborhoods of the city has always kept the traditional "Venetian lifestyle" intact. Among the numerous monuments and works of art we cannot fail to mention the Arsenal, for centuries the cradle of the power of the Serenissima, the Basilica of SS Giovanni e Paolo, one of the most loved by the Venetians, of S. Francesco in Vigna, of S. Maria Formosa.
