GUARCINO - Guarcino rises 625 meters above sea level, on a ridge of the Ernici Mountains. The territory of great naturalistic importance is surmounted by the Campocatino massif, a plateau at about 1800 m above sea level. It is surrounded by the peaks of the Ernici Mountains, which reach and exceed 2000 meters above sea level and from which you can enjoy the panorama of lower Lazio up to the Tyrrhenian Sea, including the Pontine Islands.
In the historic centre, the town preserves architectural and decorative elements of considerable artistic importance, typically medieval, which are still visible today; among the numerous churches in the town are the Collegiate Church of St. Nicholas and the Church of St. Michael the Archangel, both dating back to the eighteenth century.
The municipality of Guarcino boasts very ancient historical origins. Already in Roman times, the importance of this city was linked to its favourable strategic position, between the Aniene valley and the Cosa/Sacco valley, since its foundation in the eighth century BC it was famous for the abundance of springs of healing waters, first of all that of San Luca and, later, Filette.
Behind the town of Guarcino, the mountain complex of Campocatino is home to one of the oldest and busiest ski resorts in Lazio and Central Italy. The resort offers 15 km of downhill slopes, cross-country skiing and snowpark and is also one of the snowiest places in the Apennines, thanks to direct exposure to humid western currents.
In addition to skiing, it is possible to practice downhill cycling during the summer or horseback riding or trekking thanks to the various paths and routes proposed.
At the foot of the historic center, an independent solution on several levels with a double entrance is offered for sale.
The property is composed as follows: from the main entrance there is a kitchen, a pantry, the first bathroom with bathtub and a large bedroom with balcony.
