The beautiful “Villa Paolina”, owned until the last century by the Counts Cavalli D'Olivola, is located at the foot of the Castle of San Giorgio. The property, built at the beginning of the 19th century, was the residence of Alessandro (1819-1878) and his wife Paolina (1835- 1906), daughter of Marquis Carlo Felice Gozani and after whom the villa was named. The current owners purchased the residence in the late 1980s and they began the restoration works respecting the original features of the house. In fact, to this day it is possible to admire the splendid terrazzo floors, the original doors with paintings over the doorframe, and the splendid cross-vaulted ceilings. Today, Villa Paolina is a residence with all the comforts, divided into two units: the historic apartment occupied by the current owners and the former stable with the old barn above it.
