Fifth municipality in the province by number of inhabitants, it is located 14 km north of Novara, approximately halfway between the city and Lake Maggiore. It is also located 10 km from Milan-Malpensa airport.
It is a mainly agricultural municipality dedicated to the production of corn and cereals as well as wine: it is in fact included in the territory of the DOC Colline Novaresi. The cattle breeding sector and the resulting milk production are also important, for which it contributes to 24% of all provincial production, so much so that it was awarded the title of "City of Milk" on 30 April 2010.
