Val Brembilla is a scattered Italian municipality of 4,194 inhabitants[3] in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy. It is located in Val Brembilla, a side valley of the Brembana valley.
Together with the municipalities of Sedrina and Zogno it constitutes a commercial district[5].
It was established by the regional council on 4 February 2014, from the merger of the municipalities of Brembilla and Gerosa.[6] The previous municipalities responded yes to the consultative referendum on the merger which took place on 1 December 2013.[7] The first municipal elections were held on 25 May 2014.[8]
The municipality was served by the Brembilla - cave railway station located on the Brembana valley railway, abolished in 1966.
The municipality is crossed by three provincial roads. The SP 24 of the Brembilla valley which leads to the Taleggio valley, from the SP 32 Brembilla - Berbenno which connects it to the Imagna valley and the important industrial area of Laxolo and from the SP 17 Ponte Giurino - Gerosa which connects the upper valley with the Imagna valley (the Blello - Gerosa section is managed by the municipality).
Public transport is provided by Arriva Italia srl on lines B10a and B00a in the towns of Brembilla, Laxolo and Gerosa, while the hamlet of Sant'Antonio abandoned is served by line B20b of Zani autoservizi.
