The Valtournenche ski area offers a total of 25 slopes (three of which can be used as training or competition slopes with approval national and international) served by nine ski lifts and, in more detail, 14 red, 9 blue, 2 black slopes (variant of 1 and variant of 15) and a children's play area. From the bottom of the valley you go up altitude with the Saletta cable car, a short distance from the tiny village, which covers a difference in altitude of just over 706 meters and reaches 2,268 meters above sea level. From here you can reach the other facilities, which branch out and occupy the entire slope of the upper hill of the Cime Bianche or, if you wish, you can immediately take the last section of the return track, one, to warm your legs with the different walls, bumps, plateaus alternating with steep curves with changes in slope, among the woods that characterize the route, particularly fun in the early morning, with the track freshly groomed and smooth as a billiard table, before then climbing up and taking your time to explore the area, its slopes and its scenery. Starting right from slope number one, the legendary Reine Blanche which, if taken on the Piccolo Cervino, allows you to cover a difference in altitude of 2,300 metres. The "Reine Blanche", one of the longest tracks in all of Europe, is Valtournanche's unmissable track: over 20 km of adrenaline if you start from the 3800 meters of the Piccolo Cervino (for which you need to continue towards Cervinia, climb to the Plateau Rosà and from which, by cable car, you can reach the Piccolo Cervino). Set between the rugged brown rocks of the Rocca di Verra and the sinuous moraine crest that the Great Verra Glacier has created over the millennia, the Blue Lake is a triangle of turquoise water in which the profiles of the mountains are reflected. You cannot leave Val d'Ayas without first visiting this place, one of the most evocative corners of nature in the entire Aosta Valley.
