Overlooking the central square of Montaldo Roero, the palace is characterised by an 18th-century brick façade, the only one to have remained intact in the area. The succession of time and noble and popular traditions pervades the residence, in a perfect balance of simplicity and elegance. Originally built in the 15th century as a fortress for the feudal lords of the time, it has undergone careful renovations over the centuries, aimed at preserving the spirit and nature of historic aristocratic residences. Even after the last renovation in 2018, the palace retains its typical room layout and furnishings, easily adapted to various tourist and cultural purposes. The property has three levels and spacious, visually striking interiors. All rooms are distinctive and memorable: the cosy lounge, the eat-in kitchen where one can enjoy convivial moments, and the numerous guest rooms, all of which have their own fireplaces. From the main entrance, all floors are accessible through a marble staircase. On the left side of the staircase is a convenient, multipurpose room to be used as repository or to store bicycles. A hidden staircase, located in the kitchen, leads to the original, one-of-a-kind wine cellar. From here, a small garden that overlooks the central square can be accessed. The first floor is composed of a conversation room, a bathroom and a bedroom with a French window leading to the wonderful hidden garden. On the top floor there are two further bedrooms with original wooden floors, en-suite bathroom and a balcony overlooking the garden. On the other side, windows overlook the beautiful church across the street and the picturesque rooftops of the village. The palazzo is perfect both as a holiday home for families and as a representative house for companies and organisations committed to promoting the area and its history.
