San Giovanni Bianco is an Italian municipality of 4,653 inhabitants[2] in the province of Bergamo in Lombardy.

Located in Val Brembana, it is approximately 28 kilometers north of the Orobic capital.

Since 2015 the Municipality of San Giovanni Bianco is part of the Cultural Center "Mercatorum and Priula / streets of migrants, artists, Tasso and Arlecchino", born in 2015 from an agreement signed with the Bremba Municipalities of Camerata Cornello and Dossena to enhance the artistic assets, architectural, historical and environmental aspects of the territory.
Inserted in a naturalistic context of great interest, in the middle of the Brembana valley and nestled in a valley on which imposing peaks stand out, including the Cancervo - Venturosa group, it offers excellent views and numerous possibilities for excursions in the surrounding mountains, suitable for every need: from the beginner to the most expert and demanding user.

The Brembana valley cycle path was also inaugurated in 2007, which runs along the course of the Brembo river, offering the a starting point for walks or bike rides.

The village also retains much of its medieval structure: in this regard you can still admire Romanesque style bridges that cross the numerous waterways present in the municipal area, as well as the route of the Priula, recently at the center of recovery works aimed at enhancing the route.

In the town center, Piazza Zignoni is of particular importance, equipped with a statue dedicated to the illustrious fellow citizen Vistallo Zignoni, a mercenary soldier who lived between the 15th and 16th centuries to whom we owe the presence of the relic of the Holy Thorn in the parish church of San Giovanni. This relic would be a thorn that belonged to Christ's crown, a reason for profound popular devotion. In the historic center there is also the Boselli palace, used as a parish residence. Built during the 15th century as the residence of the family of the same name, it features finely frescoed halls and a notable art gallery.

The public gardens of San Giovanni Bianco are dedicated to the memory of Enrico Rampinelli, gold medal for military valour.
