The area in question is located north of the center of Bagnolo in Piano, about 1 km from the central Piazza Garibaldi and in a "strategic" position on a general level as it is about 5 km away from the Mediopadana high-speed station, about 7 km from the Reggio Emilia motorway exit and approximately 9 km from the historic center of the Reggio Emilia capital.
This area was occupied by a series of buildings, belonging to the former Bagnolese sausage factory, previously demolished in order to obtain an area to be used for largely residential buildings.
