Lake Maggiore or Lake Verbano is an Alpine lake in the Northwest Italy, situated at Italian and Swiss borders. The lake is extended for 66 km, 35,64 mn, from Italy to Switzerland. The west coast is part of Piedomont (Verbano-Cusio-Ossola and Novara), the east coast is part of Lombardy (Varese), while the north coast is part of Switzerland (Canton Ticino).
