The nearest airport is Pescara (36 km) reachable in just 40 minutes.
Description of the buildings
The historic house is part of the ancient palace of the Marquis De Sterlich family, it stands imposingly along the main street and is spread over 3 levels, for a commercial area of approximately 800 m2.
The entrance to the property is through a large door which opens onto a spectacular entrance hall with a vaulted ceiling and direct access to an ancient and very large oil mill.
From the entrance hall, a wide black marble staircase leads to the upper floors, where we find elegant reception rooms, the suggestive library and numerous bedrooms, with high vaulted ceilings, elegant doors and chandeliers in line with the historical environment that hosts them. Of particular note within the marquis palace are two panoramic terraces, one with a view from the valley to the Apennine Mountains and one overlooking the romantic Church of San Vittoria.
Inside the building we also find various rooms used in the past by the service staff such as cellars and storage rooms, on the second floor the attics with habitable heights to be completed.
The basement, which is also accessible from the street, is currently used as cellars and warehouses made entirely of exposed brick, which make the rooms warm and evocative.
State and finishes
The palace, probably dating back to the period between the 17th and 18th centuries, is built with a load-bearing masonry structure and requires an overall restoration.
Use and potential
The De Sterlich Palace is a property of great value which, once restored, will be perfect as a tourist/accommodation facility and for the organization of events. Obviously nothing prevents us from using the building as a luxurious private representative residence.
