CANNERO RIVIERA OGGIOGNO.
SEMI-DETACHED HOUSE WITH GARDEN AND COURTYARD.
This historic house is located in the ancient village of Oggiogno, a small hamlet in the municipality of Cannero Riviera.
Oggiogno is a very old hamlet and still preserves all its historical characteristics, with alleys and narrow streets that can only be travelled on foot. Free public parking is located close to the village.
In the centre of the village stands this house, which is gathered around its private courtyard, and which is accessed through a portico.
The property, measuring over 200 sqm, is partially restored and habitable, and is on three levels:
Ground Floor: Entrance porch, private courtyard of about 20 sqm, 4 cellars and a woodshed.
First Floor: It is developed around the two balconies of the gallery, from which one reaches the kitchen and four rooms.
Second Floor: This floor is already renovated and habitable and consists of a living room with open kitchen and balcony, a hallway, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Methane gas heating.
The floors are original wooden, some ceramic and some terracotta.
Each room has a particular and antique charm, some are still frescoed and large fireplaces are present on all floors.
The ground floor and the first floor are in need of renovation, the second floor is renovated and immediately habitable.
About 200 metres from the house, there is a nice flat garden of about 300 square metres. And a few steps away, the public car park.
The property, immersed in nature and tranquillity, is characterised by the balconies connecting the levels and the rooms. It is also ideal as a B&B or holiday home.
Cannero Riviera lies on the shores of Lake Maggiore and, thanks to a natural inlet, enjoys the enviable privilege of being sheltered from the cold winter winds. The very mild climate allows the growth of luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation characterised by citrus fruits, palms and olive trees that transform the town into a lush flowering balcony overlooking the lake every year.
Typically medieval are the narrow alleys in which you can stroll, discovering ancient dwellings and picturesque views. Famous for their adventurous history are the Castles of Cannero, which stand on two islands a short distance from the lake shore.
Cannero is the scene of many folklore and gastronomic events throughout the year.
The town offers the possibility of a wide variety of sports immersed in nature: from those practised in the nearby mountains of the Valgrande National Park (Nordic walking, mountain biking, hiking and walking for beginners and experts) to all water sports.
