Architecture of the Villa
It is characterized by a C-shaped plan that develops around an internal courtyard, featuring a severe-looking main façade with kneeling windows and some other openings with a pietra serena frame. The internal facade is more ornate, overlooking the Italian garden, where you can see the turret that dominates the facade and which reveals the medieval origins of the complex. Typical of the last fortress-houses of the early 16th century, it is decorated in some halls of frescoes: probably grotesque from the school of Poccetti (around 1550), the same frescoes from the Uffizi. The private chapel is also decorated with frescoes.
Real estate unit
The real estate unit, which measures 200m2 of which 160m2 is walkable, is accessed from the main door of the Villa which leads to the internal courtyard. The ground floor is composed of two magnificent rooms completely frescoed, from the school of Bernardino Poccetti (1548-1612), it also has a frescoed fireplace from the school of Vasari and beautiful stone seats around the kneeling windows typical of the 1500s. It is the the oldest part of the villa together with the oil mill.
