Gravedona (Gravedona in dialect Como IPA phonetic pronunciation: /graveˈdona/), is a town of 2,759 inhabitants, home since February 2011 to the municipality of Gravedona ed Uniti in the province of Como, of which it constitutes a municipality.

Until 10 February 2011 it constituted a municipality autonomous, which bordered the municipalities of Colico (LC), Domaso, Dosso del Liro and Peglio. The new municipality of Gravedona ed Uniti is the result of the aggregation of Gravedona with the municipalities of Consiglio di Rumo and Germasino.

It is located in the alluvial plain of the Liro torrent, on the western shore of Lake Como, about 52 km from the provincial capital . On the eastern shore, opposite Gravedona, there is the Piona peninsula and Monte Legnone, the last Larian mountain before the beginning of Valtellina.
