A cocktail at Orient Bay Beach
Orient Bay Beach is one of longest and busiest beaches of Saint Martin. The bay is located on the northeastern coast, in the French part of the island. The numerous beach bars and sunbeds are reminiscent of the Côte d'Azur, but the restaurants serve local specialties directly in the shade of the palm trees; sample a tropical cocktail or order an 'acras' (Creole fishballs). The bay, with its white sand beach and deep blue water, faces 3 small islands: Pinel, Green Cay and Tintamarre.
Happy Beach: a true tropical paradise
Reaching Happy Beach is not exactly easy: From Friar's Beach the walking trail takes about 15 minutes through the forest until you come to this hidden cove. The beach has no facilities: there are no deck chairs, bars or restaurants. On the other hand, you will see crystal clear water, wonderful rocks and lush vegetation that reaches down to the beach: the perfect spot for a picnic. Happy Beach is also fantastic for snorkelling, as the bay is full of small fish

To end the day romantically, let the locals guide you to Cupecoy Bay Beach: at sunset the reddish brown rocks are enveloped in a wonderful golden glow. There are no beach bars at Cupecoy Bay, but street vendors often sell cold beers. Saint Martin's Pinel Island is a charming islet located off the northeastern tip of the island, facing Cul de Bay. Sac. The island, which is also a nature reserve due to its beauty, is unmissable for its soft white sand beaches, for the quiet and hushed atmosphere and for its beautiful, turquoise, crystalline sea.
