Country house via R. Beneventi, Lama Mocogno

LAMA MOCOGNO: Single country house about 5 km from the town, located in the hamlet of Sassostorno, free on four sides. The building was built and renovated at different times, the original stone base is present on all levels except for one wing of the building which was enlarged in concrete blocks for the first floor and the attic, the horizontal floors are made of wood and in brick, the main frame of the roof is in wood and brick, overall it presents well on an architectural level and in good condition also given the age of the building. The generously sized spaces on the ground floor are divided into a large living room with fireplace, kitchen and a further room connected to the main rooms and the hallway. The stairwell extends for two underground floors to reach the cellars and the technical room. On the mezzanine floor, between the ground floor and basement floor one, we find the bathroom built as an appendix to the main structure. The internal stairwell also leads to the first floor where there are four large rooms used as bedrooms, the bathroom and two connecting spaces which for this purpose can become a walk-in closet and/or further space of varied use. The heating system is set up but not for all the rooms, it certainly needs to be improved and overhauled, the boiler, present, was powered by LPG, a user which is not present today. The water comes from the spring, like all the houses on that side (consortia have been set up in the various areas for the supply of water from multiple sources scattered throughout the area, the maintenance of the pipes and various analyses). Electricity is regularly activated. The cottage is located on a large plot of approximately 1000 m2, with direct access from the main road. Finally, the oven characteristic of mountain areas is present and usable even if it requires good maintenance. The farmhouse, located in the middle of the countryside of the Modena Apennines, is however in a central position with respect to the most famous locations and the Monte Cimone area, the closest town is Lama Mocogno at 5 km, Sestola at 13 km, Riolunato Le Polle at 16 km, Piane di Mocogno 7 km, Pavullo nel Frignano the first large urban center is 16 km away.
