Farmhouse Strada Stafenna-Padro, Noto

At the gates of Rosolini, but in the Noto area, we offer for sale an ancient block of flats (450 m2) built at the end of the 19th century. Contrada Stafenna is a very important place as it is one of the oldest known sites in south-eastern Sicily. In the rocky crags there are several rock shelters where some excavations in the past have found flints and materials referable to the Upper Paleolithic. The frequenting of these places continued into subsequent periods and even some of them were inhabited until the sixties, as can be seen from the masonry closures of some of these shelters.
