Casetta San Bartolo
This detached cottage (internal kitchen, sitting area, mezzanine) is set in the old stable, has been restored to a very high standard in typical Aeolian style. There is a covered external kitchen area, a stone path leading to a outdoor shower and an extraordinary bathroom created inside a cave that was once used as a shelter for animals. There is a cistern and a tank recently installed for the cottage, both equipped with an electric pump. The gardens are well established and they present a large variety of succulents and rare cacti, together with the plants/trees listed below:

The house is about 40 minutes walk from the port and is located 400 meters above sea level (about 800 steps from the port). It borders the Protected Nature Reserve and there is no noise, light or air pollution. All the water comes from winter rains and from the cisterns which store a more than adequate quantity. The house is not connected to the water supply. The entire property is connected to the electricity grid.
