About 5 km from Sorano is the most populous hamlet of the municipality: S. Quirico. Its origins are linked to the end of the important rock center of Vitozza which occurred around the mid-15th century. The name S. Quirico, given to the village, certainly draws its origins from one of the three churches present in Vitozza in ancient times and dedicated to the saint.
