This elegant neoclassical noble residence was built in 1823 by the architect Pietro Pestagalli, placing itself as a connecting point between the center of Monza and the Royal Park, representing one of the first examples of a bourgeois residence in the city. The harmonious architectural structure of the building is still characterized today by the refined original sculptural decorations commissioned to the artist Gerolamo Rusca of Agno. The villa has a central body with a rectangular plan that opens directly towards the square and is bordered on the sides by via Andrea Appiani and Mosè Bianchi along which two smaller lateral bodies develop, connected by the presence of a portico with a Doric colonnade , which separates the inner courtyard from the delightful and secret romantic garden. Classical decorative elements adorn the main and southern façades of the structure, placing the complex among the most relevant neoclassical style works in the area. The courtyard leads to the main body of the structure, consisting of a noble floor with frescoed barrel vaults and an upper level with vaulted ceilings of the same type, but of lower height. Villa Carminati-Ferrario also contains wonderful artistic works of historical and testimonial relevance, such as: the precious original neoclassical frescoes of the nineteenth century. , the refined and elegant wood paneling, the fireplaces in perfect condition, the rigorous and fascinating Art Déco decorations that characterize the staircase and the main floor, the stained glass windows made with the Tiffany technique, as well as the modern futurist decorations present at the interior of the Orangerie or the ancient bricks that characterize the vaults present in the internal cellars.
