Ospedaletti is a tourist and residential center of the Riviera dei Fiori, nestled in a small gulf, between Capo Nero and Capo Sant'Ampelio. Legambiente was awarded the Blue Sail for the quality of Ospedaletti’s sea, and, moreover, Ospedaletti is characterized by a mild and pleasant climate all year round, which since the end of 1800 has attracted wealthy tourists from all over Europe and from Russia in particular; this special climate has allowed the proliferation of a variegated vegetation, made of palms of different types, araucarias, maritime pines, olive trees, eucalyptus, ficus, oleanders, bougainvillea, subtropical plants and flowers of every color and scent. Here is one of the two extreme points of the longest cycle path on the sea in Europe, which offers glimpses of overhanging sea of great beauty. The path of the cycle path is completely paved. Those who love walking can find different routes that go up towards the medieval villages of the hinterland. Every two years there is the historical re-enactment of the motorcycle race on the so-called Motor circuit of Ospedaletti that also hosted motor racing.
