The building is arranged on one level, on the ground floor, currently it is ruined and needs a total renovation, with the possibility therefore of rebuilding, customizing it without altering the state of the places, according to one's taste and needs.
Due to its current consistency, it allows the construction of a single-family house surrounded by garden, orchard and parking. Pertaining to the building there is also a storage room on the ground floor always to be restored.
The whole is located in loc. Santa Caterina, surrounded by greenery and in a cool and sunny area, at the foot of Monte San Biagio, not far from a residential complex, which in the summer season offers a supermarket, pizzeria and entertainment service. To reach the historic center it takes 7 minutes by car to travel the approximately three and a half kilometers away; to reach the sea instead about 15 minutes by car for 16 kilometers away.
Maratea is the only Municipality of Basilicata overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, with its coast about thirty three kilometers long, full of inlets and unique beaches, which has given it the name "Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea". It is also famous for its forty-four churches throughout the territory and for the twenty-two meter high statue of the Redeemer, which dominates land and sea from the top of Mount San Biagio. The famous statue turns its gaze to the Pontifical Basilica dedicated to the Holy Bishop and Martyr who is not the patron of Maratea. The coast is full of towers and ancient castles, such as fortifications guarding the area. To reach Maratea by car along the A2 Mediterranean motorway, via the Lagonegro Nord exit, proceed along the state road Fondo valle del Noce for about twenty five kilometers. Due to the particular morphology of its territory, Maratea offers the possibility of making excursions that allow you to observe particular angles of the mountain and marine landscape. Every year during the summer season Maratea is a destination for famous people in the field of cinema, culture, journalism, with participation in the "Marateale" Cinema Film Festival
