Carzago di Calvagese
Carzago Riviera is a fraction of the municipality of Calvagese della Riviera, in the province of Brescia, 3 km away from the capital and south of it. Carzago was an autonomous municipality until 1927, at the beginning of the last century the name changed to Carzago Riviera, as from its territory, in the hilly area, to the east, you can admire Lake Garda.
In Carzago there is the medieval castle which still today testifies, with its walls, its function of defense against the barbarian invasions, the parish church of San Lorenzo, with paintings by Ludovico Gallina and Grazio Cossali and the Museo MarteS of the Luciano Foundation Sorlini, which collects 183 works housed in 14 rooms in a beautiful seventeenth-century building in Brescia.
