I am a land that rises between Gagliano del Capo and Santa Maria di Leuca, a corner of paradise that represents the tip of the heel that marks the end of Italy and the meeting of the Ionian Sea with the Adriatic Sea. very different but equally fascinating, Gagliano offers an ancient historic center, streets full of artistic and historical beauties that intertwine with each other, forming one of the most beautiful and characteristic villages in the area. The ancient heart is steeped in history and is linked to the events of the feudal lords who lived there and who left the fortified walls and the castle as a trace of their passage. Here small houses and imposing palaces alternate, including the Daniele palace which was built during the unification of Italy. From the village the view sweeps over the vastness of the Adriatic Sea, in good weather the view can even see the coasts of Greece and Albania.
The view changes completely in Santa Maria di Leuca, a splendid marina that offers bright colors and cliffs breathtaking. The air you breathe here, in addition to being imbued with the sea breeze, the scents and colors of this land, is also full of history. From here, in fact, over the centuries various peoples have passed that have left their traces in the beautiful villas of the nineteenth century and even in the caves. The undisputed symbol of Leuca is its lighthouse which since 1876 has symbolized the point where the earth ends and stretches out over the sea. about 16 square meters. The view from here is wonderful and is characterized by the green of the olive trees and the red of the earth. I am the land "Liama a forest forte" and I am surrounded by greenery, between the village and the sea.
