Tuscany, a region known for its natural beauty, full of art, history, culture, as well as offering splendid cities known to most tourists, also preserves a country of unexpected beauty, such as Pitigliano. Perched on a tuffaceous boulder, it preserves a really interesting historic center. A few kilometers away are the thermal baths of Saturnia, Lake Bolsena, the Tyrrhenian coast with the towns of Capalbio, Monte Argentario, Porto Santo Stefano, Porto Ercole, and finally a few kilometers also from Monte Amiata. All this is around Pitigliano and all less than an hour. The characteristic historical center is known as the little Jerusalem [5], due to the historical presence of a Jewish community, which has always been well integrated into the social context that has its synagogue here. The municipal territory of Pitigliano extends in the western part of the Tufo area. It borders to the north with the municipality of Sorano, to the south-east with the Lazio municipalities of Farnese, Ischia di Castro, Latera and Valentano from which it is bordered by the northern end of the Selva del Lamone, to the west with the municipality of Manciano. Arriving in Pitigliano from the sea, going up the regional road 74 Maremmana, you can see the characteristic houses that protrude from a large spur of tuff, absolutely overhanging. The cliff of Pitigliano is surrounded on three sides by as many ravines, full of caves dug into the tuff; the Lente, Meleta and Prochio rivers flow into the valley floor. In the historic center of Pitigliano we sell an apartment on the first floor and consists of a living room, a kitchen with a rear bedroom overlooking the valley, a bathroom, another bedroom, a large room (possible wardrobe) also used as a bedroom.--f3cf85ea5549bc8cc22e992310fbd932!
