Inside the ancient village of Cogne, in the hamlet of Sonveulla, a rural building dating back to the early 1900s, of historical interest and in need of restoration, inserted in an authentic residential context characterized by typical Aosta Valley architecture.
The main body of the structure is spread over two floors above ground and joins on one side to another recently restored building, with the remaining sides free. The building shell is made of traditional masonry while the roof is structured in wood with a slate covering. The external finishes are in exposed stone, lime plaster and Aosta Valley wood.
The conservative renovation must preserve the traditional appearance of the building with the possibility of opening two windows on the west side and exploiting the volumetric potential in order to create an attic floor to make the most of the available spaces. In the immediate vicinity there are two points of artistic-cultural interest: the Sonvuella Chapel and the Maison de Cogne Gérard Dayné ethnographic museum.--41e5834f17d9c1be3f7d08f8b0e7f303!
