The Castle of Bovino stands on the hill overlooking the village also known as the "City of eight hundred stone portals".This village is famous for its eight hundred portals created by local master stonemasons which embellish almost all private homes. Also not to be missed is the monumental Cathedral in Romanesque-Apulian style, declared a national monument in 1890."
