DESCRIPTION
The rural building in question is spread over four floors above ground and precisely, a partially basement area, two partially raised floors and a habitable attic. In addition to this main building, there is a barn probably of more recent construction, consisting of two floors above ground. The two buildings are joined together by a gable roof with a wooden structure and a mantle in coppi and tiles, open on two sides.
The main building consists of a mixed load-bearing structure in stone, brick and river pebbles (typical construction material of the area, especially among the historic buildings built near the course of the Arno river), with floors partly made of main beams, joists and planking in valuable timber or bricks and, to a lesser extent, in steel beams with terracotta “vaults”. The pavilion roof is made of timber and bricks with a mantle of bent tiles and brick tiles with a slightly protruding eaves. The windows have jambs and sills in pietra serena, the interior floors are in Florentine-style handmade terracotta. The main entrance consists of the classic open room with an ancient masonry oven. The adjacent barn, built in the classic structure typical of the area, is made entirely of brick with a wooden and Cambodian ceiling and a Marseillais-type terracotta roof.
On the back of the barn there were further annexes with brick structure (presumably for the shelter of animals or annexes) partially collapsed, of which the shape imprint on the ground can be detected. An exclusive courtyard with a surface area of less than 5,000 square meters completes the consistency. . The numerous activities present on site and in the neighboring areas, the viability of connection between the various poles of attraction, the same architectural characteristics of the building with courtyard, make the structure suitable for various types of activities (e.g. Catering, Hospitality Activities) as well as the strictly residential one.
