Country house via Crocicchie, Lisciano Niccone

Located on the edge of a quiet hamlet is Casa della Mulattiera. Casa della Mulattiera is a farmhouse on three levels for a total of 90 square meters with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. In the basement there is a bedroom and a full bathroom. Throughout this level there are barrel vaulted ceilings. With separate access there is a cellar / technical room. Going up a stone path leads to the main floor. Entering the ground floor you get to the kitchen. The kitchen still has the original functional stone sink and a fireplace with wood stove. The wood stove burner is used to heat the entire level. Throughout this level there are recycled terracotta floors and barrel-vaulted ceilings. This floor also has a bedroom and a bathroom with shower. Upstairs there is a living room and a bedroom. In the living room there is another wood burning fireplace to heat this level. Many original features remain throughout making it a very rustic Umbrian home. In front of the house there are two buildings. A building is a small garage where a small fiat car could fit. To the left of the garage there is a small annex on two levels. At the moment this 2-level annex is used as a warehouse. Following the stone path past the house you come to a stone staircase which leads to a fenced garden. The garden is a terrace on three levels. From the garden you can enjoy a spectacular view of the whole valley. In the garden there is a vine pergola where you can have a meal, an aperitif or relax looking at the green Umbrian hills. On the land there are about 50 centuries-old olive trees. The garden also has no neighbors which make you feel very secluded even if it is located in a hamlet.
