Finely restored with fine materials and attention to details, this wonderful apartment is located in the “Maiolo Castle”, a former convent from the 1700s in which there are several apartments with a shared garden of about 30,000m2.
Located on the first floor with direct access from the garden and from the back of the building, you enter into the charming sitting room with fireplace and original wooden coffered ceiling, on the left and a dining room that opens into the kitchen and the balcony overlooking the surrounding garden. The apartment also has a spacious bedroom with a walk-in closet, a small balcony and a bathroom with shower and bathtub, the latter still in original materials. The apartment’s owners have access to the shared garden, a common space for entertaining and an area to grow vegetables, either outside and under the greenhouse. Marentino, a municipality in the province of Turin whose typical product is honey, consists of the three ancient villages of: Marentino, Avuglione and Vernone. The town hall is housed in the former brotherhood church of San Carlo Borromeo. Built in Baroque style in the seventeenth century, it has a graceful triangular bell tower. In what was once the nave (today the Town Council hall), there are two altarpieces, one from the San Carlo church and another one from the Marentinese chapel of San Rocco. A curiosity: the walls of many houses in town have been frescoed, starting from 2005, with original "murals" depicting some riddles to be solved. Currently the works are 20, created by different authors, coming from all over Italy, and create a certainly original visual context.
