The company is located at the foot of Monte Poggiolo, on which stands the homonymous fortress built in 1471 and where in 1983 the oldest human settlement in Europe was discovered.

Numerous artefacts were found on the farm which the Superintendency of Cultural Heritage classified as belonging to a rustic villa from the Roman era.

The presence of wildlife is notable: roe deer, hare, porcupine, beech marten, buzzard, owl, gray heron and many others.
